Hope you people are surviving well, keeping up with your revision! If you haven't started, you better start now, ONE more week left! D: It's a week after our recital, yet the teachers present were sooooooooo impressed that they kept talking about it even till today. Hahaha. See, small event can turn out to be big via word of mouth. Hah, our status in SAC has certainly gone up man! Lol. By the way, today's our 1 year anniversary of our First Gold with Honours! Yay, haha. Apparently we didn't even celebrate as an ensemble last year right? Oh well, we shall wait till after MYE, and we'll plan something. Anyway, I've been getting updates from Amanda that the committee or rather, NEW committee is thinking of planning some stuff during the June holidays. Good to see that you people are taking over & ruling now. (: Anyway, do keep us seniors updated, we'll definitely go back to visit you all during the holidays. New committee! Let me know what time practice starts after MYE okay, I MAY drop by, or spring some surprise visit somehow. (: (I want to see how's practice like without us, lol!)
Oh yes, sec 4NA, you girls do not need to return after the MYE. Your N level exam break officially starts from 12th May to 1st November (I think? Check with Amanda when the date comes closer). However, Maria, you need to come back on 12th May for the competition. (:

Hello! Got a last announcement to make before I officially step down. All sec 1s to 5s have to meet at the sunken foyer after morning assembly on Monday. Mr Ng will brief you all from there. I think we heard many 'good job' or 'well done' just now, so I shall not add on but most importantly, I hope you all enjoyed yourselves or at least, gained quite a valuable performing experience. You juniors still owe us a farewell party. Please inform us when you want to have the farewell. Farewell & Handover MUST come together. Please inform us in advance too, I would prefer it to either be during the June holidays, after the O levels MT MYE & after your competition at ACJC. I believe, you all would need the time during the 5 practices after MYE for your competition pieces. Work hard juniors, continue our FIRST in everything trend. Imagine someday during morning assembly and you hear "good morning everyone, I am pleased to announce that the Guitar Ensemble has clinched a blah blah in the recent competition blah blah". Alright, all the seniors will visit you all someday cos we need to collect back our guitars, HAHA. No lah, we'll visit you to stress you people out for the competition, haha. And of course, we seniors prepared gifts for you people too, so yes we need to pass it to you all. (: Oh yes, I forgot to mention who are the music leaders, I shall announce it during the handover k. It's time the juniors take over this blog (millions of hints), all the best SACGE and the new committee! All the best for your MYE too, we can do well, cos we're the SAC guitarists, the tradionally first in everything people. HAHAHA (okay so cool, now we have a slogan, haha)LOVELOVE, ANGELYN.

Hey all!Gowns, shoes, choker (pls try to find it), scotchstape, scissors to be brought tomorrow. Sec 1s, come in Full-U. All to report at 2.30pm, with the exception of those who have tutorials & those who end school at 2.15pm, you'll report at 2.40pm, MPR2. DRESSED NEATLY! HAIRSTYLE, NEAT PONYTAIL. Bear in mind that there are lessons going on the other half of the MPR, so please go to the side (the door that can be opened without pressing the button thing). You wouldn't want to get yourself into trouble by knocking on the door the other side, you'll regret, let me warn you first. (: Anyway, from 2.30pm to 3.15pm, DO NOT collect your guitars first. There's orals going on, I'm trying to get all the stands and whatsoever transported before 2.30pm first, so that you all can do all those first. Only after 3.30pm, I dispatch you all in batches to collect your guitars. From 2.30 to 3.15pm, I've assigned various tasks for you all to do, I expect to see all those done when I come in at 3.30pm. Do your very best tomorrow, we've managed the whole recital by our own. It's rare, but a very good way of showing how capable we are, and a way of proving ourselves that we are a first class Guitar Ensemble. So, do well not just musically, but in terms of co-operating with each other. I hope you all will enjoy yourselves tomorrow. Play it from your heart. Don't dwell on any mistakes you make, just move on. (:Anyway, fyi, it's the last practice for all sec 4s and 5s tomorrow. However, handover & farewell will not be tomorrow, as time does not allow. We'll have it after the MYE or during the June holidays instead. LOVE, ANGELYN!

Hey!HELP NEEDED!
Appealing to people who are free tomorrow. If you're free, please kindly stay back from 2.15pm to 3.30pm tomorrow, meet at the props room. If your lessons end at 2.15pm, you can go for lunch first before meeting. Yes, we need to put up the decor & banner at the MPR tomorrow. I'm leaving it optional, volunteer if you're free. It's YOUR recital. I just heard that some of the sec 2s have orals on Friday (AHHH!) Okay, ask your teacher if you can go first. If it's not possible, then dash up after your orals please. You wouldn't want to be a blur block not knowing what to do on the actual performance itself.As of today, I still have some people owing me consent forms & money. PLEASE bring it tomorrow, I'll look for you all during assembly. PLEASEEEE REMEMBER! Don't try to look for me tomorrow after school, as I'll not be in the classroom but I end at 2.15pm tomorrow. You can try to look for me at the props room at 2.15pm if you didn't manage to pass it to me during assembly. Please have the initiative and responsibility to look for me, as I still have to chase after like 10 of you, & I do not have the luxury of time to go class by class every single day. Hello! As announced today, I'll be emailing you all the latest seating arrangement and movements. Please get it printed, and placed in your file. Also, arrange your file according to the sequence of the pieces. I will personally check your files on Friday. Try to memorise your scores if you can, so that you all will look up more when playing. I thank all the sec 4s and 5s for being a good example, as all of you brought $5 today, and you're the only level in which everyone has paid! (: For the rest of you, I will be going to your classes tomorrow morning personally. I want your consent forms, $5 from sec 1s and $10 from sec 2s & 3s TOMORROW! I'll hunt you down. (: We are just short of $85 before the payments are all cleared! So please, make my life easier too, BRING THE MONEY! More updates tomorrow. PRACTISE HARD! Ask your SLs if you don't know anything. Clarify before you perform, and please hur, if you can play loudly, please go ahead. Project the sound, especially those people seated at the 2nd and 3rd row. Before I forget, it's International Friendship Day this Friday, and you all are supposed to dress up in whatever country theme your class has chosen right. Sec 1s, I expect you to be in FULL-U when you come for practice. Sec 2s to 5s, do not change into your gown first. We'll settle all the admin/logistics work first. See you all tomorrow, ANGELYN!

Hello!Hope you all 'enjoyed' the run just now! Haha. Anyway, Practice on Monday starts at 2.30pm, MPR2. For those who end school at 2.15pm, you have to come in by 2.45pm. Sec 1s, you begin at 3.30pm. Remember to bring your GOWNS & SHOES! I will allow time for you all to change, don't worry. Everyone, please bring $5 for May & June's Guitar Fund for the newsletter. However, all sec 2s and 3s plus Maria, I will need you to bring $10 instead, due to the competition at ACJC. A relay message will be passed down tomorrow. It's 2 practices to our recital, just 2. Please put in your best effort! Ms Martens will be present at the recital, I'm sure you want to perform to the best of your ability infront of her, teachers, HODs, your parents, ex-seniors and your friends right? Yes, so please make it an ensemble effort. Self-practices are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Section leaders may call back the section, or your buddies for self-practice anytime this week. However, please inform me in advance. At the moment, 110 people will be attending. We have to try the arrangement of the chairs again. Therefore, I need everyone's co-operation to put things together. Do not take your own sweet time in shifting stuff and all.Please arrange your files. For now, just place all the recital pieces in your file. The rest, you can put it at home. Consent forms will be issued on Monday, further details will be given on Monday as well.
