Hello!CCA will resume at a later date, which is 19th October 07 (Friday) instead of 15th October (Monday) due to the holiday off in lieu for Hari Raya Puasa. Refer to the CCA board for the timings. I'll update it after the Exams. When CCA resumes, the props room will be opened on Wednesdays (17/10, 24/10), from 1.45pm-3.30pm for people who are interested to practise their exam pieces etc. You may approach the 2 music leaders that are on "duty" for that week if you encounter any difficulty while playing the piece. If you're interested to come for any of the Wednesdays, please inform Sherrill.EARLY WARNING ALERT!Those people who are using your OWN PERSONAL guitars or have your OWN PERSONAL guitars in the props room, you will need to bring them home on 19th Oct (Friday) to facilitate Inventory Checks. By hook or by crook, it has to be out of the props room on the 19th of Oct. You will have to bring it back on 22nd Oct (Monday) for CCA practice. So please make whatever arrangements you need to make, to transport your guitar back home. Sec 2s and 3s, please bring all your shoes/gowns back home on 19th Oct. Those who have not settled the payment for the gown, leave it there. 4 more days. (:LoveLove, ANGELYN.

Hey all!
Couldn't explain what was the objectives of what was being taught today, due to time constraint. Shall do it here then. The purpose of today's activity is to promote independent learning. Even if you do not get the entire thing today, I am quite certain that at least 30% of the stuff got into your head right? (I hope).
We are only left with 2 more practices, so make the best out of it! I personally feel that everyone in the ensemble should learn something new every practice. Practice lasts for 3 hours, and maybe for this day, you learnt one new italian term or one line of music out of the whole 3 hours. It does do you some justice to learn at least ONE new thing after spending 3 hours of your precious time. Of course, it'll be good if you learnt many many things, but ONE is much better than not getting anything into your head, and wasting your whole 3 hours in school. So from now onwards, can everyone learn/absorb something new every practice? (All of you really have the potential to excel further!) Section leaders, you are encouraged to use italian terms during sectionals instead of using simple terms. =D Oh yes, I'll try to recap/emphasize on certain things taught today from time to time, so that you'll be able to see the link. Section leaders, please do so too!
Okay, I know it's a long post. To end off, music leaders going for AGES, please meet at 230pm, MPR 2 for sectionals. The rest of the people, 330pm, sectionals first. Eh, I will email the section leaders on the "flow" and the venues by tomorrow. Check the CCA board on Monday on where to go! =D People who did not turn up today, hand in your MCs/travel documents to any of the presidents on Monday. You don't want people to hunt you down, do you? *winks*
Enjoy your last weekend of "holidays"!

Heyyo!
Everyone should have received the reminder through the relay system. I hope the relay system is working. If not, please be reminded that you are to bring writing materials tomorrow (pen, pencil, eraser, highlighters especially)!
Bring your overdued guitar fund or the $4 book money or whatsoever tomorrow! Last but not least, meet at the MPR 2 at 12.45pm with your guitars (for those without tutorials). Those with tutorials, be ready by 1pm sharp!
