dearest girls,
your playing is good, really. tempo, notes, rhythm & dynamics is not the issue anymore. you all have managed to work on that. the only concern is the expression. today, we concentrated on the volume. there is still a large range of volume that your guitar can go. bass & prime girls, i have showed you how loud your guitar can go. it is just a matter of whether you want to play it, or are you confident to play it loud. expression comes naturally. open your heart, mind, ears! get the recordings & listen it at home! trust me, listening to it repeatedly will help in memorizing your parts, expressing yourself & enjoy the music. once you keep listening to it, the music will just penetrate your brain cells immediately. (:
some of you may not feel that sense of urgency towards SYF. i know you might find it time consuming with just 5 weeks to MYE, & many CCA practices etc. but i would like to tell you that, it is a privilege to be involved in SYF. it's a GOLD that we want, we need to work for it. if you don't even work for it, what rights do you have to say that you want a gold? on SYF day, you will hear "st.anthony's canossian secondary, ______" i don't know if we will be jumping for joy or our hearts will break but if you know you have given in your best, the outcome doesn't matter right? this is your best, you can't go any further, then you can be proud to say that, i have given my best. 9 more practices, i hope everyone will work on parts that you are unsure of (ask SLs), & just strive for the SYF! do motivate each other. it's a team effort, not solo. we all had a taste of success during the exchange prog, isn't that feeling sweet? we can make history happen again. if you're free, go to the trophy area & see our big trophy placed there, remember, you're part of the success. you have a part in it! persevere! you're just one step away from the finishing line!
