First recording in week 3 or 4. Librarian and President, please help to ensure that the players have their scores. All these pieces contain the full score, no need to distribute parts. Those members whose names are not on the list have to work hard to get a place in the ensemble, meaning that you have to improve in your note reading and playing ability before you get to participate in the ensemble.

We are on the right track to bringing our guitar ensemble to become the BEST secondary school guitar ensemble in Singapore. BEST in terms of students' enjoyment of CCA, individual achievement and ensemble achievement.
We are the first guitar ensemble in Singapore to learn how to fall in. I must say that you did quite well for the first lesson on how to fall in. The next few sessions won't be as easy.
Those who went for the holiday practices, i must say that you have improved quite a bit. The solo playing was started only in May and some students are moving on to attempt some Grade 2 pieces. Well done. For all those who did not go for the holiday practice, there's a lot of catching up to do for you, please check with your friends and section leaders what was taught.
Ensemble playing is much better now. During the 3 days practice, the ensemble had a good feel to the sound and players were responsive, very good. First time i felt that the ensemble, could really make good music.We will focus more on solo playing and some ensemble for now. When nearing our concerts, we will shift focus to more ensemble playing.

Personal reflections
Many students have improved in note reading and have become more independent in learning new pieces of music. The guitar ensemble has improved a lot since 12 months ago. Students can sight read much faster than before.
What everyone enjoyed
Students enjoyed playing new songs, pieces of music, games, interaction with other students, ensemble playing, teaching other students, learning to play nice songs
Feedback on organisation of the CCA
3-4 students in the classroom is better than having many students in one classroom. Training in smaller groups.

3 days of guitar practice are over! ensemble, fall-in, games etc. hope you all learnt something from the 3 days practice.

YO! today's CCA, hope the sec 1s have a feel of what ensemble is like. pg 2 of that piece, forgot what's the title, was quite gd, with the fact that is done thru' sight-reading. tmr, co-operate with the committee members, alrights! (: i won't be there sadly, but me & tiffany will drop by when we're having breaks or sth. HOPEFULLY! Hello dear students,
Here is an idea of some of the things that we will be doing during the 3 day practice.
The main objectives of the practice is to allow students to increase in playing skill, learn more solo pieces, get to hear examples of guitar music and enjoy playing the guitar.
Some activities that we may have:

2nd day of guitar chalet. much lesser ppl, but equally fun. (: CCA on the 19th to 21st JUNE! 9am to 4pm! it's long hours, but rest assured that there'll be lunch break! bring along $$ for ur lunch! lunch break would be from 12-1.30pm, i think! do not be alarmed by the long hours, we're not gonna play the guitar non-stop or something. will play games. relax! wow, i'm still blogging after a long day. (: alrights, 1st day of guitar chalet. i hope all of you had fun! ppl who played truth or dare had whole load of fun, i'm sure! juniors were playing frisbee and stuff. through this chalet, i hoped everyone seriously got to know each other much much better than before! and of course, have FUN! HEYY !! its been VERY VERY VERY longsince i last blog.HAH !okays.umm .. as i made the annoucementyesterday that,people who DON'Tput their guitar according to their nameswill be punished,and the punishment isdemerit points! and u all know the consqeuceshaving demerit points ! XDso,i forgot to add another point.if you all were to borrow the guitar home.without letting any logistics people know,namely .. zoe,hiuto,beatrice,beverly,sherrill.u all WILL get a punishment.it will be either demerit points,or paying guitar fund.it will be confirmed SOON.and .. the number of days allowed to brg theguitar home is also not confirm YET.but,it will be confirmed soon as well.so,PLS do let the logistics team members peopleknow,before you borrow the guitar.or u wil have to follow the consquences.if u want to borrow the guitar..just tell the logistics team member your guitar number,your class and your name.you are only allowed to borrow and use the sameguitar.meaning..if you use guitar nuymber 5,u wil have to use it,until u have been assigned to another guitar.no one is allowed to takeother people's guitar. hello! tmr's the last CCA practice before chalet, need to get things fast. i'll be circulating two lists - chalet & CCA practice on the 19-21 jun, during ur sectionals. pls do not hold on to the list for a long time. look thru, tick & pass it on to the next person. there will be no entry to the props room before CCA tmr. will start with implementing the new system for logistics. probably, u guys hve to assemble at MPR at the start of CCA. depends on how mr choo wants it. tmr's CCA, 1pm to 4pm! gather at level 3 study area 1st. ppl who just came back from overseas tt are coming tmr, pls bring along ur photocopied travel docs. to explain your absence. muchloves!angelyn.

HELLO. i've seen many improvements that everyone have made. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !i'm also here to warn everyone of the using of mp3s during CCAs. CCA is for you to play the guitar and not for you to listen to your mp3s. handphones are also not allowed to be used during CCA time. its the holidays now, so we'll close an eye and not confiscate it. if there's a need for you all to inform your parents on anything, you may ask the prefects, namely caroline, shinling, ethel, angelyn and maria for permission to use it. when school reopens and if the the prefects catch you using your handphones, the will have the right to confiscate it and send it to RTC.you are also not allowed to read books or do other stuffs during CCA time. if any leaders catch you all doing so, they have the right to confiscate your book or whatever you're playing with. if any commitee members have announcements to make, please tell angelyn ASAP as she would like to make a list of announcements for tuesday to be more organised.we thank you for you kind cooperation. training was exceptionally long for group 1, 90 mins! then group 2, is like 55 mins only! lol.100% know how to play GHFS already! the different parts. maybe we shall combine together as a whole ensemble ONE DAY. miss chua seems quite pleased when she saw us having sectionals. practise over the weekends!
